Jackson is our "2nd hand dog" from the Northumberland Humane Society. He was 7 when we got him, and has been a large part of our families life ever since. He loves to learn and is working on scent and overcoming some learned behaviour issues. With his excess of energy and enthusiasm he would have made a wonderful professional working dog. I plan to trial him this year in CKC scent and hope someday he can earn a CGN to prove how far he has come.
Jackson passed away in my arms on Sept 13th after an intense battle with Kidney disease. His struggle came to a head the day that we were to go to finish off his CKC scent titles. He always enjoyed life right up to the last. I learned a lot from this guy, How to be a better trainer, patience and to live life to the fullest.
